In remote regions of East Africa, jiggers (sand fleas) cause infections that lead to skin ulcers and severe health complications, sometimes resulting in death. Prevention is simple: covered shoes and proper hygiene. Step 30 is an international ministry providing medical aid, treating jigger infections, and distributing used shoes to prevent further infections. Your used shoes can save lives!

THE GOAL
What is the “goal” for the initiative this time?
25,000 Shoes
+ $5 per pair for shipping costs
The goal is to raise 25,000 pairs of shoes and $5 per pair of shoes to cover shipping costs, filling a 40-ft container to be sent to Kitale, Kenya by September 2025. The container will also be converted into a local medical centre or classroom! 100% of the shoes & monetary donations will be used in this initiative!
THE IMPACT
How will your donation be used in Africa?
The shoes collected this time will be shipped to Kitale, Kenya. An international medical team and volunteers will help treat foot-related infections in the local areas and distribute the collected shoes to prevent further infections. In collaboration with the locals, the shipping container will be converted into a community hub for education and medical purposes.
